Mohamed H. Al-Mady
Vice Chairman and CEO, SABIC
Mohamed Al-Mady is vice chairman and chief executive officer of SABIC. Prior to his appointment in 1998, he was SABIC's director general for projects.
He also serves as chairman of the Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO), SABIC R&T executive committee, and the SABIC Euro B.V. supervisory board. He also sits on the board of Aluminum-Bahrain (ALBA) and the US-Saudi Business Council, and heads the Saudi-side of the Saudi-Taiwanese Joint Committee for Economic and Technical Cooperation.
Mohamed Al-Mady joined SABIC at its creation in 1976. He is a chemical engineer who earned his bachelor of science degree at the University of Colorado in 1973 and his master's in chemical engineering from the University of Wyoming in 1975.
Abdullah S. Nojaidi
Vice President for Petrochemicals, SABIC
Mr Nojaidi is the vice president for petrochemicals at SABIC, with overall responsibility for the basic chemicals, intermediates, polyolefins, and PVC & polyester strategic business units. He moved into this role as part of the restructuring of SABIC's business in September 2002. Prior to this, he was executive vice president for planning and investment at SABIC and previously president of SABIC's worldwide marketing arm.
Prior to joining SABIC, Nojaidi served as director of engineering and projects at the Ministry of Industry and Electricity, and prior to that he worked at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado.
Homood Al-Tuwaijri
Vice President, Petrochemicals Coordination, SABIC
Homood Al-Tuwaijri took over as vice president of petrochemicals coordination in May 2004. His responsibilities include overseeing the optimization of business results and synergy realization for the base chemicals strategic business units, intermediates strategic business units, polyolefins strategic business units, and the PVC/polyester strategic business units, in addition to group logistics.
Prior to his current assignment, Al-Tuwaijri was appointed vice president for corporate finance in September 2002.
Al-Tuwaijri graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a master's in industrial engineering in 1983.
Abdulrahman S. Al-Ubaid
Vice President, Polyolefins Strategic Business Unit, SABIC
Dr. Al-Ubaid is the vice president of SABIC's polyolefins strategic business unit, responsible for the polyethylene and polypropylene departments.
He joined SABIC in 1989 as the director of development at the SABIC Industrial Complex for R&D. In 1996, he was promoted to be the director general of research & development, responsible for the overall research and development activities of SABIC. Following organizational changes, his title was changed into executive vice president of research & technology. He played an important role in the establishment and management of the state-of-the-art SABIC Research & Development Complex.
During his employment at SABIC, he also held the ranks of president of the intermediates strategic business unit and chairman of the board of directors for Ar-Razi and Ibn-Zahr (SABIC-affiliated companies). He was also the chairman of SABIC's technical committee.
Prior to working at SABIC, Dr Al-Ubaid was associate professor of chemical engineering at the King Saud University in Riyadh.
Dr Al-Ubaid graduated in chemical engineering from the King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals. He obtained his master's degree from the University of California and received his doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, USA.
Ali Saed Al-Khuraimi
Vice President of Corporate Control, SABIC
Ali Al-Khuraimi is responsible for SABIC's legal, audit, industrial security & environment, and total quality management departments. He started this role when SABIC's business was restructured in September 2002.
Prior to working at SABIC's headquarters, he fulfilled a number of roles at SABIC's joint venture partner Yanpet, the Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Company, most recently as its president.
Al-Khuraimi earned a bachelor of science degree in applied chemical engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals, Saudi Arabia.
Yousef Al-Zamel
Vice President, Basic Chemicals Strategic Business Unit, SABIC
Yousef Al-Zamel became vice president of SABIC's basic chemicals strategic business unit during the business restructuring in September 2002. He is responsible for all basic chemicals activities at SABIC, which includes oxygenates, aromatics, and olefins.
Al-Zamel was one of the first employees of SABIC, which he joined when the company was formed in 1977. Since that time, he has held various positions in the organization, most recently, as the group president of SABIC's fertilizers business (since 1998). He has also served as vice president of marketing (SABIC Marketing); as general manager (SANAPIK - Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Marketing Company); and has held different positions in SABIC's petrochemical, engineering, operations, and marketing departments - both in Saudi Arabia and in the USA.
Al-Zamel gained his chemical engineering degree from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia in 1976.
